ST DAVID'S DAY COLT FOR SUMMER FASHION
Dr D Barry Davis’ Summer Fashion (Moorestyle) foaled
an OASIS DREAM colt yesterday. Raffin Stud owner
Lady Sarah Whent describes him as “a grand, large colt and a great
advertisement for both sire and dam.” Summer Fashion won six races
for trainer David Elsworth.
She has done even better at stud with Definite Article (Indian
Ridge), winner of the Gr.1 National Stakes and beaten a short head
in the Irish Derby; Salford Express (Be My Guest), Gr.2 Dante
Stakes; Salford City (Desert Sun), Gr.3 Greenham Stakes, 2004; Sun
Bird (Prince of Birds), eight wins, over £181,000; Finished Article
(Indian Ridge), four wins over £90,000 and Summer Spice (Key of
Luck), won her only start at two. Both her highly promising two and
three-year-old fillies are in training with David Elsworth.
