NEW STALLION TO STAND AT BANSTEAD MANOR
Juddmonte Farms are delighted to
announce that dual Grade One winner Cacique will be joining his
highly successful brother Dansili at Banstead Manor Stud in
2007.
As a son of the world renowned sire of sires Danehill and the
outstanding 'blue-hen' broodmare Hasili, Cacique is without doubt
one of the best bred horses in the world.
General Manager Philip Mitchell comments "We are thrilled that
Cacique will be standing alongside his full-brother Dansili, who is
now looking to follow in the footsteps of Danehill. There is every
reason to expect him to emulate past full brothers who have both
been successful at stud - eg Kris and Diesis and of course Sadler's
Wells and Fairy King."
Cacique has run 11 times at Gr.1 level, winnning twice and being
placed 8 times.
Cacique was trained in France by Andre Fabre where he won Gr.2 Prix
Daniel Wildenstein at Longchamp and the Gr.3 Prix Daphnis and Gr.3
Prix du Chemin de Fer du Nord at Chantilly. Then, as with his full
sisters Banks Hill and Intercontinental who both won a
Breeders' Cup, and also his half-sister dual Grade One winner Heat
Haze, he went to be trained in California by Bobby Frankel and has
since won two of the 'Classic' Gr.1 turf races the Manhattan and
the Man O' War both at Belmont.
Cacique will now be aimed for the Breeders' Cup turf on November
4th.
