SECOND STAKES WINNER FOR BEAT HOLLOW
With a two-year-old crop of just 37, Juddmonte
Farms’ Beat Hollow has considerably fewer chances for success than
many of his contempories in the first season sire ranks, but class
is starting to tell. The four times Gr.1-winning son of Sadler’s
Wells sired his
second Stakes winner yesterday when the improving Streets Ahead
forged clear of his rivals in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes at
Salisbury last night.
The Deerpark Stud-bred Streets Ahead, a 20,000gns Doncaster St
Leger Sale purchase by Ian Balding, is from the Free Guest
family that has served Luca
Cumani well.
Beat Hollow, also sire of the Gr.3 Prix du Calvados heroine
Charlotte O Fraise, has a second crop of 42 yearlings, with one
colt catalogued at both the Doncaster St Leger and Tattersalls
October Part One sales and two colts and two fillies at Tattersalls
Part Two.
