ZAMINDAR’S MODERN LOOKS A GOOD PROSPECT
Article taken from the EBN
Juddmonte stallion ZAMINDAR struck again with a French-trained
daughter when Modern Look completed a hat-trick by winning the Gr.3
Prix Miesque. The striking dark bay was headed by the in-form Lady
Deauville (Fasliyev) over a furlong out, but soon regained command
and scored with something in hand. From one of Juddmonte‘s good
families, she has the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Prophecy
(Warning) as her dam and Gr.1 Kentucky Oaks winner Bag of Tunes
(Herbager) as her third dam.
The international flavour of the day continued when the South
African Gr.2 winner Tiza (Goldkeeper), now in the care of Alain de
Royer Dupre, won his second French Gr.3 sprint of the season, the
Prix de Seine-et-Oise. The runner-up was Advanced (Night Shift),
bred by Germany’s Gestut Gorlsdorf and winner of Scotland’s most
famous race, the Ayr Gold Cup, in September. The Listed Prix Isola
Bella went to Golden Life, an American-bred daughter of Coronado’s
Quest (who was exported to Japan) from a good Argentinian
family.
