FIRST STAKES WIN OF 2008 FOR DANSILI
GRECIAN DANCES TO DEAUVILLE LISTED WIN
Taken from the EBN
Vincent O’Brien’s five-year-old Grecian Dancer started 2008 in fine
style by collecting her first Listed win. She got the better of
Summer Princesse (Desert Prince) in a blanket finish to the Listed
Prix Miss Satamixa at Deauville, where barely two lengths separated
the first seven home.
Grecian Dancer, a half-sister to the speedy juvenile Wunders Dream,
was a 100,000gns Tattersalls yearling purchase by Amanda
Skiffington, and has won four Irish handicaps up to seven furlongs.
She stepped up into better company last season, finishing third in
the Gr.3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes and was placed in three
Listed races.
She was providing a good start to the season for her sire,
Juddmonte Farms’ DANSILI, who was responsible for ten
European Stakes winners in 2007, headed by Zambezi Sun and
Passage of Time.
