A BRIGHT START TO JULY FOR DANSILI
DANSILI’s 4yo filly Glowing got up in the dying strides of the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes Gr.3 for her first Stakes success. She is the 7th individual Stakes winner from DANSILI’s smallest crop, his fourth crop, which includes 29 winners.
Trainer Charles O’Brien stated after race "She was a big child last season and has grown up a lot. Seven furlongs or a mile on fast ground seems to suit her best." Glowing (DANSILI) raced prominently through out and had to dig in deep to deny Gr.3 winner Luminous Eyes after her jockey lost his whip about 2 furlongs from home.
Glowing, a daughter of Brighest by RAINBOW QUEST is the 3rd stakes winner by DANSILI out of a RAINBOW QUEST mare. Brighest is a daughter of Irish Oaks Gr.1 winner Wemyss Bight the dam of multiple Gr.1 winner BEAT HOLLOW (sire of Group winning two year olds Proportional and Charlotte O’Fraise). Wemyss Bight is full sister to the dam of the exciting young sire OASIS DREAM who, following a magic run in June, had another winner last night.
The exceptionally well bred Cordoba by OASIS DREAM out of Ribblesdale Stakes Gr.2 winner Spanish Sun (El Prado) got home by ½ length in the Digibet Maiden Fillies Stakes last night. That pedigree received a timely update on the weekend when Spanish Sun’s full brother Spanish Moon (El Prado) prevailed in the Grand Prix de Saint Cloud Gr.1.
