Timepiece followed in her half-sister Passage of Time’s footsteps, when landing the Listed Montrose Fillies’ Stakes on the last day of the season at Newmarket.

The two-year-old daughter of ZAMINDAR had to give everything to fight off Nurture (Bachelor Duke) in the closing stages, the pair pulled four and a half lengths clear of the third Clarietta (Shamardal).

Passage of Time (DANSILI) subsequently won the Gr.1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud a fortnight later, but Timepiece, according to her trainer Henry Cecil, is already over the top and will be retired for the season.

Owned and bred by Khalid Abdulla’s Juddmonte Farms, she is also a half-sister to the Gr.2 King Edward VII Stakes winner Father Time (DANSILI), from the family of the Gr.1 winner All At Sea.
