ZARKAVA NAMED FRENCH HORSE OF THE YEAR

His Highness The Aga Khan's unbeaten superfilly Zarkava (Ire) (ZAMINDAR) was named Horse of the Year in a ceremony at Auteuil racetrack.
The prestigious award is the latest staged by the magazine Courses Elevage, which has polled France's racing journalists annually since 1979.
Zarkava (ZAMINDAR), who garnered five Group 1 events in an unblemished seven-race career, was also named champion three-year-old filly.
Additionally, G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere victor Naaqoos (GB) (OASIS DREAM) was presented with the champion juvenile rosette.
