LIVING THE DREAM

OASIS DREAM has had a prolific few days, siring eight individual winners from Friday to Sunday.
The highlight was undoubtedly Midday’s runaway success in the Lingfield Oaks Trial. She becomes OASIS DREAM'S 22nd individual blacktype performer and is now one of the favourites for the Oaks at Epsom.

Midday’s dam Midsummer, who incidentally was second in the Lingfield Oaks Trial, gave birth to a full sister to Midday last month.

Showing the versatility of OASIS DREAM'S progeny, Group One winner Naaqoos finished third past the post in the 8f Poule d’Essai des Pouliches, with Bouvardia and Striking Spirit marking themselves down as sprinters to follow after registering easy successes at Nottingham and Ascot respectively. The four-year-old filly Tuscan Evening won her third race of the season in America, having already been placed in multiple Group/Graded Stakes races, while at the opposite end of the age spectrum, Field Of Dream and Stargaze were wide margin juvenile winners.

DANSILI'S son Father Time came very close to giving Juddmonte horses a notable double at Lingfield when narrowly beaten in a three-way photo for the Gr.3 Lingfield Derby Trial. The lightly-raced colt, who is a full brother to the Group One winner Passage Of Time, is his sire’s 54th individual black-type performer.

Father Time’s dam Clepsydra has a Zamindar 2yo filly in training with Henry Cecil, a Dansili yearling filly and a Dansili colt foal. Clepsydra is half-sister to Double Crossed who is quite topical at the moment, not only as she won the Lingfield Oaks Trial in 1998, but also because she is the dam of OBSERVATORY'S top-class son Twice Over who is a probable runner in the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at the weekend.
