JUDDMONTE STALLIONS FEATURE HIGHLY IN 2009 SIRES TABLES
Article taken from the EBN.
Last season’s Champion Sire (Britain/Ireland) Danehill Dancer showed that his progeny are versatile as well as capable, by heading the European Stakes list of sires of two-year-olds (numbers of black-type horses) as well as milers, in which he just beat DANSILI, and dirt/all weather horses. He pipped fellow Irish sire Invincible Spirit to top spot in the juvenile category – each had ten black-type runners last year, but the Coolmore stallion sired more individual Group winners than his nearest rival.
Danehill Dancer also sired more Stakes-winning sprinters than any other sire in Europe last season, though Big Shuffle and OASIS DREAM each had one more blacktype runner, and he was beaten only by fellow Coolmore stallion Galileo in the 10-furlong category, though he had the most individual Stakes winners at that trip.
OASIS DREAM also featured highly in four of the six tables, with the most 2009 juvenile Stakes winners of any stallion, and joint second most ten-furlong Stakes winners (five).
